New Year, New Career: Reskilling into a Tech Career is within Reach
It’s a candidate’s job market. The year 2022 presents a tremendous opportunity for change as an increasing number of employers – regional and national – see the value of recruiting talent to work remotely. Candidates are no longer limited by a stressful commute or need to feel “stuck” in their current role.
If you are searching for a change and are curious about the technology field, Tech Ladder can help. Reskilling into a longer term and higher paying technology career is within reach.
Our 12-week coding bootcamp offers technical training, professional development, and job placement assistance for adults 18 years of age and older. We offer two skills training tracks – Software Development and Data Engineering.
Despite the economic downturn caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, 61% of our graduates were placed in paid roles within six months of graduation using the skills they learned at Tech Ladder. These students more than doubled their average salaries, earning an average wage of $74,673.
Hillary Givhan, a Tech Ladder graduate, recently shared her reskilling experience in a Delaware News Journalop-ed she penned.
According to Hillary, “One thing that still stands out to me about Tech Ladder is its well-rounded focus. I did not just receive a technical education, but we had professional development that included topics ranging from resume writing, interview practice, and even improv skills. Tech Ladder also supports its alumni in the job-hunting process. For me, I was able to interview with some of Tech Ladder’s partner companies and was hired for a full-time position one week after the bootcamp ended. However, even if a student is not hired by a partner, Tech Ladder staff keep working with graduates until they find their first job in the tech field. I love that heart!”
Today, Hillary is a software developer at SEI (NASDAQ:SEIC), a company delivering technology and investment solutions that connect the financial services industry.
Before Tech Ladder, Hillary was teaching English as a second language. She wanted a change and made a thriving tech career a reality with the help of Tech Ladder. You can too.
