What to do and see
Nestled between New York City and Washington, D.C., and a stone's throw away from Philadelphia, Wilmington is a city with a small-town feel, offering ample opportunity to eat, shop tax-free, play and learn.
Referred to as the "corporate capital of the world," more than half of the nation's Fortune 500 companies call Wilmington home, which makes it the perfect location for Tech Ladder.
While a lot of your time will be spent face buried in your computer in a coding frenzy or collaborating with your peers and mentors, your free time is your own. So, get out and explore all that Wilmington has to offer! We'll give you some of our favorite spots to enjoy.
Wilmington has 552 acres of picturesque parklands, which means plenty of room to enjoy the great outdoors! Take a trip to the Brandywine Zoo, exercise on one of our many jogging trails, and grab a bite to eat in any number of our wooded picnic and recreation areas.
Visit the Nemours Mansion and Gardens, on 200 acres of woodlands, Winterthur, a museum of American decorative arts surrounded by a magnificent garden, Hagley Museum and Library featuring early industrial technology and American history, or Longwood Gardens, one of the premier horticultural display gardens in the country.
